If you are not on birth control pills or taking medications / using devices to prevent ovulation, our ovaries normally produce a cyst each month, called a “Follicular cyst”.
Sometimes this cyst can cause pain or discomfort but this usually resolves at the start of your period. So the word, cyst, which may produce anxiety or concern, is actually a normal term for our normally functioning female bodies.ovarian-cyst

Please remember that you will need to present a valid insurance card on each visit with Preferred Women’s Healthcare. Inaccurate billing information, expired insurance cards, or failure to obtain proper authorization will result in payment being your direct responsibility.

It is your responsibility – as the INSURED – to follow the rules and guidelines outlined by your specific insurance policy. It is your responsibility to understand what your financial responsibility will be (i.e., deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments) as well as what your coverage limitations are (i.e., covered vs. non-covered benefits, required referrals, pre-authorizations, etc.). You can find this information on your insurance company’s website, or you may obtain this information from your employer.

Billing For Preventive Services https://www.preferredwomenshealthcare.com/billing-for-preventive-services/ Sat, 28 Sep 2013 22:41:26 +0000 http://preferredwomenshealthcare.com/?p=2191 shutterstock_21369403 (Small)

Your health insurance plan may or may not provide coverage for preventive services.

It is important that you contact your insurance provider to determine if your plan offers benefits for this service.

We use industry standard diagnosis and procedure codes and adhere to proper billing guidelines to submit claims. The codes we use to submit your bill for payment are based on the type of appointment you scheduled with us, your presenting history and problem, your final diagnosis, and documentation in the chart. There are strict laws governing the submission of insurance claims and the physician billing process.

These laws and severe penalties prohibit us from changing procedure codes and/or diagnosis codes solely for the purpose of obtaining payment from an insurance company.

Please realize that even if your insurance carrier advises you that we need to simply need to change the code and resubmit your claim, we are unable to do so, as this constitute submitting fraudulent claims if this does not match your actual medical record.
